We are a local and take pride in constructing quality 100% custom homes by working directly with our client throughout the entire process. Mark Pottebaum, Redknot’s owner, is personally involved in every project from the beginning to the end with an on-site Redknot project manager handling the daily logistics, etc.
We professionally manage each project by leveraging our on-site Superintendent, in office Project Manager, and our online project management system. With this system we can efficiently and effectively build any home via critical path scheduling, real time communication, and integrated quality control checklists that touch every aspect of construction. This system also allows us to communicate with our clients on a real-time basis to share periodic updates, make selections, track allowances and change orders, and share photos and documents.

We partner with the best home designer in the market to deliver function, style and quality with every home. In 30+ years in designing custom homes, our designer has never designed/built the same home twice. Our designer is an artist who has building knowledge necessary to balance design with cost.
A quality home starts with solid construction. We build a better home from ground up including but not limited to 2x6 walls; premium sub floors (not OSB); premium house wrap; 30 year foundation waterproofing with integrated drain tile; high R-value insulation throughout; quality energy efficient doors and windows; and quality high efficiency HVAC systems with sealed duct work. Most of these items are overlooked because people (homeowners and builders) are usually focused on finishes. While we can finish a home with the very best of them, we think the construction of the home is the key factor makes a quality built home.

We have negotiated builder discounting at numerous local vendors in addition to various national and online suppliers as well which we pass onto our clients. This saves our clients thousands of dollars on every custom home we build!
We build a 100% custom home. This process starts at the beginning by working hand-in-hand with our designer to design a custom home from inside out while remaining cognizant of your budget. We start with a detailed questionnaire that will help define all the features and functionality that you are looking for. Additionally, we will leverage any sample plans and/or other images to capture the design and other aspects you are looking for. After meeting in person to review all of your wants and wishes we will create interior floor plans. Once interior floorplans are finalized, we will model exterior elevations. After the interior and exterior is complete we will provide budgetary pricing to build your home. From here, if all is in line, we will complete construction drawings and finalize specifications and pricing.
